A stable melamine dispersion in polyol components that comprise at least a compound of relatively elevated molecular weight which contains at least two reactive hydrogen atoms and, if desired, extended chain agents and/or of low molecular weight reticulation, pyrroretardants and also auxiliaries and/or additional additives are prepared using the melamine in combination with at least an amine and at least an organic isocianate and/or modified organic. This dispersion can be used to produce pyrroretardants polyurethane foams.
