PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prolong the life of plasma address display device by suppressing the amalgamation of a terminal electrode. SOLUTION: This device has a plasma cell formed by arranging a dielectric thin plate on a 1st substrate having nearly parallel discharge electrodes 9 formed on one main surface with a prescribed gap and sealing its periphery with a seal part and on the dielectric thin plate, a 2nd substrate having electrodes formed on the opposite surface almost at right angles to the discharge electrodes 9 is superposed with an electrooptic material layer in between. In this case, a terminal electrode 14 for external connection of the discharge electrodes 9 is connected to the discharge electrodes 9 through a connection wire 16 and led to the outside of the plasma cell. |
