PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an alarm from being transmitted to a remote monitoring terminal installed at a centralized monitoring center against a frequently- occurring abnormality of a low emergency level. SOLUTION: A remote monitoring device 3 in which an abnormality is detected by an abnormality sensing means 11a of an air conditioner browses a memory region 11c where the detected abnormality is stored. If the same content as the detected content is found in the browsed region by an alarm discrimination means 11d, the monitoring device terminates the alarm transmission operation and in turn if the same content is not found, the monitoring device performs the alarm transmission operation for the monitoring terminal installed at a remote location through a public telephone line system. The abnormality content in the memory region is automatically deleted as a predetermined alarming restriction time T elapses, so that after once the abnormality occurs, it becomes possible to restrict the alarm transmission operation against the abnormality continuously produced within a specified period of time. |
