PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain character data in a display format corresponding to character attribute data without requiring labor by specifying character working sort data for character working instruction data determined in accordance with the character attribute data of character data to be processed, automatically working the character data to be processed to a form corresponding to the display format of the character attribute data and outputting the worked data. SOLUTION: A commodity number to be character sorting data is inputted from an input device 2 to an arithmetic processing unit (APU) 1. Then the APU 1 retrieves character working sort data expressing template ID and a template name corresponding to the inputted commodity number based on retrieving data. The retrieved character working sort data are displayed on a display device 5. When there are plural retrieved character working sort data, one of them is selected by the input device 2. Then the APU 1 works character data based on character working instruction data corresponding to the specified character working sort data and outputs the worked data to an output device 3. |
