PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To localize a sound image at a correct position even when a distance obtained by measuring a head transfer function stored in advance and a distance of a virtual sound source position are different from each other. SOLUTION: A distance (r) up to a virtual sound source position Ps, a direction θ, a distance 2h between both ears of a listener, transmission directions θR, θL from the virtual sound source position Ps to each ear of the listener are calculated individually for left and right channels, and the acoustic transmission characteristic of a filter is decided by the left right channel transmission directions θR, θL. When the distance (r) up to the virtual sound source position Ps differs from a distance r0 obtained by measuring the acoustic transmission characteristic, the acoustic transmission characteristic from PR, PL is used for the acoustic transmission characteristic of each channel and the characteristic is closer to a characteristic from an object distance (r) and then a more excellent approximation characteristic is obtained. |
