The support (3) is fixed to the chassis (1) for articulated movement and carries a holder (4) for the barrel at its outer end. The holder has a plate (5) fixed to the support (3) and two jaws (6,7) articulated at their lower ends with respect to plate to engage the barrel. A lock (8) at the upper ends of the jaws holds them in place. A telescopic base (9) is connected to the support to dampen movement of the tube. The lower end of the jaws is in contact with the base and the barrel contacts the jaws.
