<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the number of operations at the time of an input processing to a pointing device and to simplify the input processing by switching the circuit of an automatic input signal generator provided with the circuit for interrupting/ interruption-releasing input signals based on signals from a timer to an interruption state and an interruption release state by an operation switch. SOLUTION: When the operation switch 5 is in an ON state, the circuit of the automatic input signal generator 4 is interruption-released. At the time, when trigger signals (t) from the timer 3 are detected in the automatic input signal generator 4, the input signals 82 as stop signals are generated from the automatic input signal generator 4 and outputted to a personal computer and the operation of a display burning prevention mechanism is stopped. On the other hand, when the operation switch 5 is in an OFF state, the circuit of the automatic input signal generator 4 is interrupted, the input signals a2 as the stop signals are not outputted to the personal computer and the display burning prevention mechanism is operated.
