PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the operability at the time of limiting the function of a release button on the side of a camera only a release function, and also to quickly select an arbitrary point within a photographing screen for calculating information used for focusing. SOLUTION: The camera system constituted of a lens 1 and the camera 2, to which the lens 1 is attached, is provided with a switching means 5 on the side of the lens 1, and control whether autofocusing is performed or not is made on the side of the camera 2 by the state of the switching means 5, and it eliminates the need of newly adding a function so as to start the autofacusing to any switching means (other than the release button) provided on the side of the camera 2. |
