PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize the video decoder by conducting proper processing in response to a detected error in the case of applying decoding processing to coded data subject to compression code processing and restoring quickly to decoding by a method hardly recognized. SOLUTION: Upon the receipt of coded data, a coding data analyzer 15 analyzes the data and provides an output of coefficient data and a decoding parameter. Furthermore, a coding level detector 11 detects a layer of a coding level and a decoding control information output device 12 provides an output of decoding control information. In the case that an error detector 13 uses the decoding control information to detect an error, an error information converter 14 converts the error information into an error level and gives the error level to a coding data analyzer 15, an output video configuration device 17 and an output video correction device 18. Then the output video configuration device 17 conducts decoding processing in response to the error level. |
