PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a main melody easy to hear by changing a sound for reproducing the main melody to any other sound when reproducing the data of a piece of music as BGM. SOLUTION: When the data of a piece of music are read out of a RAM 62 and MIDI data are instrument designation data, the instrument designation data are read out of a RAM 47, the instrument designation data of data for vocal track are changed, and data designating the strength of sound are changed. When writing the MIDI data in a MIDI sound source 54, the changed instrument designation data of data for vocal track are written in the MIDI sound source of correspondent address, and the vocal track is played with the sound of designated instrument and the changed strength of sound. Thus, since the sound of vocal track for a piece of music is changed from the guitar to the acoustic piano, for example, in the case of switching to a BGM mode, the BGM is played while making the melody of vocal track easy to hear. |
