Automatic frictional clutch control for vehicle

The automatic clutch control operates the clutch in response to the driving conditions and also applies clutch control to counteract wheel spin. Sensors on all the wheels are connected to the clutch control which compares the driven and undriven wheels to determine the onset of wheel slip. If wheel slip occurs the clutch is modulated until the wheel slip is below a set threshold. The control system compares the wheel speeds on both sides of the vehicle and identifies cornering, with appropriate wheel slip control. When a set wheel slip has been detected a switch operates the reduction in clutch pressure until the wheel slip is reduced below the threshold.
