Large-size catering cooker

The cooker has a housing (1) containing a tank (4) which may be filled with hot fat or cooking oil. There is a basket (7) or other suitable container which may accommodate several cooking vessels (8). The basket is mounted on the underside of a lid which is supported by a column (3a) at one side. The lid and basket may be swung from a position directly over the tank to a position offset to one side of the tank. The column may also be lowered into a socket (3b) situated alongside the tank, in order to lower the basket into the hot fat. There is a seal (6) running round the rim of the lid, which overlaps the sides of the tank.
