Resistance value adjustment method for variable resistance

The method involves forming a resistance value from a circuit comprising a fixed resistance and additional resistances connected in series, using resistances which can be selected arbitrarily from a quantity of resistances with binary weighted resistance values. The adjusted resistance value is measured, and the error of the adjusted resistance value, i.e. a deviation of the measurement from a nominal point of the measurement, is determined. A control value of a resistance which has to be connected in parallel to the fixed resistance, or to a partial resistance to correct the error, is calculated from the determined deviation of the measurement. The parallel resistance is realised through the parallel connection of resistances which can be arbitrarily selected from a quantity of resistances with binary weighted control values.
