摘要 The method involves emitting electromagnetic radiation by a Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave (FMCW) radar sensor. An object is a part of a predetermined amount of objects with known geometric dimensions or reflection characteristics according to the emitted radiation. The antenna beam of the radar is followed with respect to the predetermined dimensions and characteristics of the detected object in azimuth or elevation. The analogue reception signals are mixed down into the base band. A distance compensation is carried out using high pass filters and gating in the return time section. The base signal is digitised and a selection is carried out of the anticipated distance interval determined relevant frequency band using band pass filtering with following low pass filtering or quadrature modulation. The instantaneous distance of the detected object is determined using spectral analysis on the basis of Fourier transformation or super resolution process. Further distance determinations are carried out using the radar for monitoring the movement of the object.
