<p>A doctor assembly for a rotating roll (5) comprises a first doctor blade (3) arranged adjacent the roll surface at a first circumferential position and a second doctor blade (4) arranged adjacent the roll surface at a second circumferential position after the first circumferential position in the direction of rotation of the roll (5). Wash spray means (9) directs a wash liquid onto that part of the roll surface between the first and second doctor blades.
