<p>A building system and/or an erected building is based on a kit of parts including portable, prefabricated wall sections (12) of a width of 4 feet and a height dependent on the room height desired. The sections (12) include a metal frame (18) having parallel members (90) to be vertical in the erected building. These members (90) are provided with a thermal break (94, 94A) along their length. The thermal break (94, 94A) may also serve as a water resistant connector between sections (12). Sections (12) are aligned with abutting side edges to form walls (12A) of the building. Parallel abutting vertical members (90) of adjacent sections (12) form composite load bearing members (32) for roof trusses (10) which may be spaced apart by the width of a wall section (12). A hinged template (72) for interior partitions may be provided which can be folded for transport. Ceiling panels (48) may be connected to roof trusses (10) through an adjustable linkage (58) so that compensation for movement of the roof trusses (10) is possible.</p> |
