The present invention includes a clear span tent structure (10) which avoids the use of a center pole and is formed in one of a variety of geometric shapes. The tent structure (10) includes a flexible roof covering (14) with a central portion (20) from which a plurality of ridge portions (22) extend. Each ridge portion (22) terminates in a peak (16) approximate the periphery (18) of the covering. Valley portions (32) extend radially outward from the central portion (20) between ridge portion (22) and terminate at the periphery of the covering. A plurality of support poles (60) extend between the peak (16) and the support surface (12) supports the flexible covering (14) in an erected state. Anchor structures (40) sec ure the flexible covering (14) to the support surface (12). Thus, the central portion (20) is oriented above the support surface (12) and the valley portions (32) are oriented below the central portion (20) to allow rainwater drainage off of the tent structure (10).
