摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutting insert which is capable of exclusive effective cooling at the portion of a cutting edge, and capable of internal intercooling for machining with chips produced. SOLUTION: An insert must use at least one supporting body having a porous material structure from which cooling medium can flow out through its pores, as a means for guiding the cooling medium as the porous material structure. The supporting body must be surrounded at least partially by surface shells 12, 13 having unpermeable, nonporous material structure. Further, the first opening which serves as an inlet for introducing the cooling medium exposing the porous structure of the inside of the supporting body, and which is arranged limitedly at a place a specified distance spaced away from a cutting edge, and the second opening 15 which is arranged close to the cutting edge in order for the cooling medium to flow from the porous inside of the supporting body similarly exposed, are opened into the surface shells.
