发明名称 WHEEL PAD STRUCTURE
摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the design freedom to a wheel pad, after a floating type of horn operating mechanism is accomplished. SOLUTION: In a wheel pad 16 which consists of a pad main body 70 and a pad extension 76, and supported in the floating condition by a compression coil spring 64, a rib for form bolding which was provided on the rear surface side of the pad extension 76 conventionally is eliminated. As the rigidity of the pad extension 76 is reduced, to be deformable elastically easily, a horn can be operated by the elastic deforming of the pad extension 76 in the horn operating condition. Consequently, a conventional clearance set at the parting position of the pad extension 76 and a steering wheel main body 12 can be almost eliminated, and the design freedom to the wheel pad 16 can be improved.
