Aminal additives for viscose wet-spinning solns - using zinc sulphate - contg coagulating baths

Addn. of animals, prepd. from satd. sec. amines and satd. aldehydes, pref. (CH3)2-N-CH2-N(CH3)2, to viscose also contg. known modifiers, for wet-spinning into aq. coagulating baths contg. ZnSO4, Na2SO4 and H2SO4, promotes stretchability of regenerated cellulose filaments/fibres, without causing formation of contaminants in coagulating bath. Pref. animals are added to freshly prepd. viscose, in 1 - 4% concn. w.r.t. cellulose content, and viscose additionally contains 1 - 2% of a polyethylene-glycol ether of phenol with 15 moles ethylene oxide/mole phenol. Pref. aq. coagulating bath contains >3% ZnSO4.
