PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a methotrexate-bondable DNA comprising the one having a specific base sequence, having inhibiting activities against a tetrahydrofolic acid dehydrogenase, and used for detection of methotrexate useful for anticancer agent, etc., against leukemia, breast cancer, etc. SOLUTION: This methotrexate-bondable DNA is a new methotrexate- bondable DNA having a base sequence of formulas I to III and is a strong inhibitor against a tetrahydrofolic acid dehydrogenase. The methotrexate- bondable DNA is useful for detection, deactivation and reduction of a side effect of methotrexate of formula IV used for an anticancer agent against acute leukemia, chorionepithelioma malignum, breast cancer, etc., an immunosuppressant, etc. The DNA is obtained by forming a DNA library having random base sequences by a chemical synthesis, amplifying the DNA by a PCR, and selecting the DNA having a sequence differentially bonding to the methotrexate by a column chromatography using a carrier carrying the methotrexate. |
