<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus which prevents the overloading of apparatus constituting members, such as revolving shafts, and adequately executes the kneading and rubbing of perishable waste to compost the waste. SOLUTION: A treating cylinder which has a charging port for materials to be treated at one end and a discharge port for treated materials at the other end is internally provided with a screw transfer means for forcibly feeding the materials to be treated which are charged from the charging port toward the discharge port, a friction kneading means consisting of plural rotating vanes for cutting the materials to be treated which are forcibly fed by the screw transfer means while overcoming the feed force of the screw transfer means and heating up the materials to be treated by friction kneading and a gate member for opening and closing the discharge port. The apparatus is provided with a discharge port opening/closing control means for opening the gate member when the value detected by a pressure detecting means for detecting the transfer pressure of the materials to be treated by the screw transfer means is at an upper set value and closing the gate member when the detected value is below a lower set value.</p> |
