PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a press suitable therefor generating only a few wear in the case of press working by reducing the load applied to the movable part of the press. SOLUTION: In the method combining works, in particular a press joint 24 and a tube 23 wherein the press 1 having at least two press grippers 21, 22 is arranged in the place combining works 23, 24 under the state releasing press grippres 23, 24, press grippers 21, 22 are mutually advanced to the last pressing position with a gripper driving device 7 under the plastic deformation of works 23, 24, and the apply of the power for press grippers 21, 22 is finished at latest at that position, the output of the gripper driving device 7 is controlled so that press grippers 21, 22 have slight kinetic energy rather than no output control at least on the nearly press finishing position. |
