A self-adhesive label 2 carried on a backing of release material 4 comprises a self-adhesive support base 6 having a rearwardly-directed self-adhesive surface adhered to the backing material 4. A folded leaflet is disposed on the front surface of the support base 6 and includes back and front covers 14, 16 enclosing an intermediate part 20 printed with information (e.g. regarding an "instant win"). The folded leaflet and support base 6 are covered by a self-adhesive (transparent) protective layer 36 which extends past their edges to form a peripheral border of the label 2. The rearward surface of the peripheral border is coated with a permanent press-sensitive adhesive which adheres to the backing material 4. The intermediate part 20 can be accessed by cutting or tearing the protective layer 36. There is also provided a method of producing a succession of such labels on backing material in which layers are applied sequentially to the backing material and one another, with appropriate die cutting. |
