A thermostatic fluid mixing unit has inlets (3, 4) for fluids at different temperatures, with an outlet (6) for their mixture. Also included is a spring-operated valve (11, 14) controlling the flow through one inlet. In this novel design, the spring (23) is located at the outlet (6). The spring force is temperature dependent, varying such that when the outlet temperature deviates, the spring actuates the valve, changing the flow ratio, so as to restore the outlet temperature to the desired value. |
