A method for displaying broadcast signals of searched channels in an image receiving apparatus comprises searching broadcast channels in a sequential manner in accordance with an automatic search command, storing channels having television broadcast signals and displaying pictures from the stored channels simultaneously on a display partitioned in PIP manner. Television broadcast signals of a channel searched by a main picture receiving station 5 are received to display them on a first area in the form of a moving picture. Television broadcast signals of channels other than the channel of said main picture receiving station 5 are received and stored to insert them into the television broadcast signals of said main picture receiving station 5 in a form of a PIP so as to display them on the partitioned areas in a sequential manner starting from a second area and in a form of a still picture. The steps are repeated starting from the second step upon encountering a last channel at the third step. |
