The longitudinal interaction tube has an electron beam passing axially along a tube. The beam interacts with an output cavity (C5) having high frequency oscillations. The cavity has an additional side wall coupling (9) in a terminal wall (8) which electromagnetically connects the output cavity to the collector area (6), so that the high frequency wave circulates in the collector before being extracted.
