<p>Prodn. of dibenzazepine-N-carboxamides (I), esp. dibenz(b,f)-azepine -5-carboxamide (Ia), is effected by reacting the corresp. dibenzazepine with HOCN. The reaction is pref. effected at 0-120 (esp. 40-80) deg.C in an organic solvent in the presence of an acid. The HOCN is introduced in gaseous form or is formed in situ from NaOCN. The solvent is toluene, xylene, 1,2-dichloroethane, HOAc or EtOAc. The acid is HCl, H2SO4, trichloroacetic acid (TCA) or HOAc.</p> |
