PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent intrusion of water to the inside of room even if there is some scattering in the product by firmly assembling the wether strip for a door by a method wherein a hollow seal part is provided to seal the outside of room while it elastically contacts a body at the closure of door and a retainer fitting a mounting base is mounted on the upper end of door. SOLUTION: A door weather strip 24 is provided wherein a mounting base 25, a hollow seal part 26 and a back surface lip part 27 are integrally formed. By fitting the base 25 to a retainer 29 extending to almost horizontal X direction and mounted on the inside of room to a fixation part of right door upper end 22A on the outer side of room, the firm fixation is made to the end 22A. The lip part 27 extends toward the lower part of door in an integral manner across an angular part of the end 22A continuously, whereby the elastic contact is made in almost horizontal plane of upper part. Accordingly, the elastic force is made large, thereby providing a large elastic contact force for ensuring a large seal effect. The hollow seal part 26 is elastically brought into contact with a body pannel at the closure of door to thereby seal the inside and outside of door. |
