MANUFACTURE OF GELATINIZED SPONGE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form the holes or the like for leading a cord through a gelatinized sponge, or form bag type space therein by a simple process in order to inexpensively manufacture a gelatinized body washing sponge with a cord or a bag type gelatinized sponge. SOLUTION: A water soluble film 2 is laid between a gelatinized sheets 1, and the laminated product so prepared is heated for the gelatinization thereof and dissolving the water soluble film 2. Thereafter, the gelatinized product is frozen and thawed, thereby providing an intended gelatinized sponge 4. In this case, a film of carrageenan, pullulan, starch, gelatine, polyvinyl alcohol or the like is used as the water soluble film 2.
