FIBER COMPOSITE MATERIAL, IT PRODUCTION, ITS USE, SANDWICH STRUCTURE PART, STRUCTURE MEMBER AND ITS PRODUCTION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject material that can be well treated process- technically and has good mechanical properties by using a specific matrix. SOLUTION: This material comprises (A) a fibrous material for reinforcement and (B) a matrix material. The component B substantially comprises (i) shellac and (ii) a crosslinking agent, particularly oxalic acid, urea, aluminum chloride, ammonium zirconium carbonate and/or an ammonium compound in which the amount of the component (i) is 90-95%, while the component (ii), particularly urea is 5-10wt.% and the other components, <=5wt.%. In addition, the component B may contains (iii) a plasticizer such as citric ester and (iv) a flame retarder such as ammonium salt. The objective material is prepared by dissolving the component (i) in a solvent, impregnating the component A with the solution, heating and pressing the impregnated component A whereby hardening the component B.
