PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary atomization head in which paint stuck to the outer peripheral face of a bell cap is surely washed. SOLUTION: A solvent passage 16 communicating with the interval of a build-up 15 of paint and the outer peripheral face 11H of a bell cap 11 is provided in the bell cap 11. A ringlike guide 17 is provided on the outer peripheral side of the bell cap 11. Thereby, at the time for washing the rotary atomization head 10, thinner ejected from a solvent supply nozzle flows out into a solvent diffusion chamber 18, which is formed between the bell cap 11 and the expansion part 17B of the ringlike guide 17, through the build-up 15 of paint and the solvent passage 16. This thinner is diffused in the whole circumference of the bell cap 11 in the solvent diffusion chamber 18 and thereafter flows toward a discharge end edge 11D on the outer peripheral face 11H of the bell cap 11. Thereby, paint stuck on the outer peripheral face 11H of the bell cap 11 is washed off. |
