PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the housing properties and operating performance of an air bag and a shielding film in the device expanding the air bag and the shielding film in a space between the side wall of a cabin and an occupant. SOLUTION: In the occupant restraining device for a side part where a protection body 1 such as a shielding film or an air bag and the like is housed in the window peripheral part 3 of a vehicle, and the protection body 1 is expanded to the side of a window part, a holding member 5 to which elasticity is given so as to enable a closure shaped part 5c to be pushed and opened, is formed out of a U shaped housing part 5a housing the protection body 1, and of the closure shaped part 5c extended out of one end of the U shape of the housing part 5a so as to allow an opening part 5b to be covered. And the holding member 5 is directed to the expanding direction of the protection body 1, and is fixed to the peripheral part 3 of the window part, concurrently, let the folded protection body 1 be housed in the holding member 5 so as to be held therein. |
