A method of manufacturing equipment for use in a process of mineral separation comprises the fabrication of the required equipment by moulding a body into the desired configuration in a structural grade of polyurethane to which is bonded on those surfaces subject to wear by abrasive minerals a surfacing of a wear resistant grade of polyurethane. The wear resistant grade of polyurethane surfacing may be included in the operation of moulding the body or may be applied to the body in a separate operation thereafter. The structural grade of polyurethane may be applied by spraying, casting or laminating, and the wear resistant grade by spraying or casting. The structural grade of polyurethane may include a fibre reinforcement such as fibreglass. |
