PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a pressure-sensitive adhesive compsn. which has an enough pot life and good adhesiveness and repeated peelability by using a water-base copolymer emulsion prepd. by the emulsion polymn. of an alkyl (meth)acrylate, a carboxyl monomer, and an epoxy monomer. SOLUTION: At least 50wt.% 4-12C alkyl (meth)acrylate (A), 0.1-10wt.% carboxyl monomer (B), and 0.1-10wt.% epoxy monomer (C) are copolymerized in emulsion to give a water-base acrylic copolymer dispersion having a gel fraction after thermal drying of 50-95wt.%, which is used as a repeatedly peelable pressure-sensitive adhesive of a water-dispersion type. Examples of monomer A are butyl acrylate and lauryl methacrylate. Examples of monomer B are (meth)acrylic acid and maleic anhydride. An example of monomer C is glycidyl (meth)acrylate. The water dispersion is applied to a substrate and dried, thus forming a pressure-sensitive adhesive exhibiting good adhesiveness and repeated peelability and low staining properties. |
