PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a thermal recording material having high sensitivity with a little texture fog and having excellent image preservability by using 4- hydroxy-4'-isopropoxy diphenyl sulfone as a color developing compound to be contained in a thermal coloring layer and adding a compound to be expressed by a specified formula as a sensitizer. SOLUTION: In a thermal recording material which contains a coloring compound, a color developing compound capable of coloring the coloring compound at heating, and thermal coloring layer having a sensitizer as a main component arranged on a support body, 4-hydroxy-4'-isopropoxy diphenyl sulfone or 3,4- dihydroxy phenyl-p-trisulfone is used for the color developing compound. Also, a compound to be expressed by a separately described general formula is added for the sensitizer. As for using quantity of the color developing compound and the compound in the formula, 0.5-20 pts.wt., preferably 1-5 pts.wt. is a proper quantity based on 1 pts.wt. of the coloring compound. The thermal coloring layer is formed by adding a binder and a filler and other additives as necessary. |
