A concave barrier plate is used with a curved shape corresponding to the mantle of an imaginary cylinder with its midpoint at the nozzle pivot axis. - A device for removing particles from a flow of gas (A) through a gas channel (1) includes a barrier (3) with a number of gas passages, placed inside the channel so that gas can flow through its passages, which are small enough to prevent certain size particles from passing through, enabling them to be filtered out. A suction device (6) is designed to be moved over the particle capture surface (4) of the barrier, enabling separated particles to be removed. The particle capture surface is concave and has the same shape as the mantle surface of one part of an imaginary, axially-partitioned circular cylinder. The suction device is swung backwards and forwards about the geometric axis of this imaginary cylinder. |
