The installation of superposed conveyor belts enables longitudinal translation of each belt relative to the other with reversal of the rotational direction of the conveyor. It comprises an external structure constituted by two parallel sufficiently spaced vertical components (2,3) on which are located, at different heights, suspension guide rails (6) and power points (7). Each conveyor belt is constituted by a central frame (8) on which are fixed transverse supports (34), directed upwards and downwards, enabling the installation of guide rollers (30,31,32) for upper and lower strands of each belt (15). This frame also supports at its ends the driving cylinders for each belt. The driving motors of the cylinders and the motor unit (26) enable translation of each belt.
