A movable art display unit is provided having a housing that encloses a display chamber. The display chamber communicates with the exterior of the housing through an access opening. Mounted on the housing to selectively cover the access opening is a screen security system. The security system includes a shaft positioned on opposing sides of the access opening. A flexible screen is wrapped around one of the shafts and has a cable extending from the screen to the opposing shaft. As the shafts are rotated, the cable and screen are pulled across the access opening so that the screen selectively covers the access opening. Rotation of the shafts is facilitated by a worm gear drive. A lock assembly comprises a frame bracket, a wall bracket, and a lock housing. The frame bracket is configured for selective attachment to the frame of a painting or picture and has a tongue projecting therefrom. The wall bracket is provided with means for selective attachment to a wall. An arm projects from the wall bracket to a free end having locking slots extending therethrough. The lock housing has a front face and a back face. Positioned on the front face is a groove configured to matingly receive the tongue on the wall bracket. An access aperture is formed on the back surface of the lock housing and is configured to receive the free end of the arm of the wall bracket. A plurality of locking devices are formed on the lock housing and are configured to interlock with the free end of the arm, thereby securing the frame to the wall. A removable wall system includes a bracket which is selectively horizontally mounted to a fixed wall near a ceiling. A movable wall having a lip projecting from the back side thereof is selectively attached to the bracket so as to support the movable wall against the fixed wall so that a gap is formed between the movable wall and the ceiling. The system also includes a length of crown molding having a wedging arm projecting therefrom. The wedging arm is removably received within the gap between the movable wall and the ceiling so as to selectively cover the gap and also to urge the movable wall against the fixed wall to help maintain attachment thereto. |
