[Also in Division C3R] Polyamide textile fibre materials are dyed or printed with an aqueous preparation containing a) a water-soluble dyestuff suitable for dyeing wool, b) an aminoplast precondensate and an acidic curing catalyst, c) a compound of formula I: in which D is O, S or NH, d) a hydroxyalkylcellulose as thickener and e) an albuminous substance the textile being steamed to fix the dye without intermediate drying, additionally solubilising agents may be present. In particular etherified urea-formaldehyde precondensate is used, hydroxyethyl cellulose and casein being preferred ingredients d) and e).
