The machine has a water heater chamber with riser tube and two outlets, one of which supplies a filter cup for coffee or tea. Two receiving vessels, one inside the other, each receive brewed tea or coffee and hot water. Outlet spouts on each vessel are arranged to be opened or closed alternately to enable the strength of drink to be adjusted. The water heater (1) causes hot water to rise to the outlets (5,6) which supply the concentrates filter (7), and hence the drinks pot (2.1) through a tube (8) or a water pot (2.2). The roles of the receiving vessels may be reversed. The outlet spout (4) of the upper vessel is closed by an arrangement (12) which may be opened by a lever (15), also shutting off the spout (3) of the outer vessel.
