Tip-and-pivot window hinge assembly

The longitudinally adjusting spacer slide (12) has projections (21) between the contact faces of the clamp (6) and the hinge (5), each projection having a number of spacer steps of different thickness along the slide. A V-shaped ramp is sited between the spacer steps and on the starting edge of the thinnest step. The slide can be adjusted by a pinion drive (13) on the clamp. The pinion gear engages a rack arranged on the spacer slide, and the pinion axially located on the clamp reaches through a slot in the slide so its shoulder engages the slot. The pinion is arranged outside the clamp part surmounted by an adjoining sector (4a) of the frame bearing (4). The pinion is turned to adjust the slide, using the V-ramp to space the respective spacer steps before screwing down tight in the adjusted setting.
