Solar blind for swimming pool covering

The solar blind has bars (1), each bar being made of transparent plastic on its upper side (8) and coated with dark colours, e.g. blue or black, on its under side (2). Each bar has closed chambers (3) and open chambers (6) which have a slot opening (5) so as to accommodate a coupling ligament (4). The upper wall (9) of the open chamber (6) is dark coloured, at least on its inner side (10). Alternatively, the upper wall of the open chamber may comprise two layers, e.g. a dark-coloured inner layer and a transparent upper layer (8). The closed chambers are separated from one another by ribs (7) which may be transparent or coloured.
