The polyester foams are made by mixing together (a) a catalysed unsaturated polyester resin/copolymerisable monomer compsn. and (b) a polyhydroxy cpd./polyisocyanate/catalyst/water mixt. of NL 6710384. The process is improved by using a polyester resin (a) which is practically free from free OH or COOH groups. This gives a lower viscosity rise in the material during the premixing stage and thus aids processing.
