The vehicle includes a electro-mechanical power transmission from a generator driven through muscle force, at least one electric motor for driving a wheel, and an arrangement for adjusting the drive force. A rechargeable battery (17) is connected with the generator (15) and the electric motor (21). Sensors (25) for a power measurement are provided in the generator. The arrangement for adjusting the drive force is part of a control circuit (18), which controls the motor by switching the battery in response to the sensor signals and pre-settable system parameters, in such way, that system losses of the vehicle are compensated.
