PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly retrieve the desired data from the name that is heard by an operator by managing the bowel names stored in a name file and retrieving a bowel name which is equal or similar to the bowel name that is obtained by converting an input name out of those bowel names. SOLUTION: When an operator confirms the name of a customer by telephone, etc., and uses this name to retrieve the customer data on a customer file, the operator inputs his heard name via an input/output device 2. Thus, an input/output control means 10 carries out the interface processing to the device 2, and a conversion means 13 converts the input name into a bowel name. On the other hand, a name file 11 manages the name and its attribute information and a management means 12 manages the bowel names stored in the file 11. Then a retrieval means 14 undergoes the conversion processing via the means 13 and retrieves a bowel name which is equal or similar to the bowel name that is converted by the means 13 out of those bowel names which are managed by the means 12. |
