PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily realize high quality of images and high speed, by setting a sampling density of a reading means to be equal to a writing density by a laser beam and also setting a density in a main scan to be different from a density in a sub scan. SOLUTION: A writing density of images by a laser write system of a laser printer is set to be equal to a sampling density of images by a document-reading device. Moreover, a density in a main scan is set to be different from a density in a sub scan, e.g. 600dpi density in the main scan is made different from 400dpi density in the sub scan. Accordingly, when the density in the sub scan is set to be lower than the density in the main scan, a synchronous pulse in the sub scan (LSYNC) becomes equal at the same line speed and the same copy speed to be that in the case of the 400dpi density. Since only the density in the sub scan is decreased, a revolution speed of a polygon motor can be reduced and a clock frequency of image signals can be lowered. |
