<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a child safety seat that is excellent in performance for the safety secureness of a child as compared with that in the conventional. SOLUTION: This new child safety seat assembly available in an automobile is provided with a base subassembly 14 with a pair of circular side rails 28, a seat subassembly 16 with a pair of circular side rails 26 to be engaged with the side rails of the base subassembly being supported on the base subassembly, and a collapsible energy absorbing element installed in space between the base subassembly and the seat subassembly, respectively. When an automobile comes into collision, the seat subassembly is relatively rotated to the base subassembly around the center of curvature of the side rails, whereby any impact energy is absorbed by the energy absorbing element.</p> |
