INK COMPOSITION FOR INK JET RECORDING AND INK JET RECORDING METHOD USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an ink compsn, for ink jet recording which eliminates alignment defects without detriment to its excellent basic characteristics, such as the lightfasteness and resistances water and abrasion of print images, by using one comprising a carbon black having a specified primary particle size, a dispersant, a resin emulsion, and a water-base medium. SOLUTION: This compsn, comprises a carbon black having a primary particle size of 40-70nm, a dispersant, a resin emulsion, and a water-base medium. More specifically, the carbon black is a furnace black, a lampblack, an acetylene black, or a channel black, and the content of it is pref. 0.5-30wt.% still pref. 1-12wt.% of the compsn. Examples of the dispersant are an acrylic acid-based one and a maleic acid-based one. An example of the resin emulsion is an acrylic polymer emulsion.
