<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a corrosion preventing composition which lowers corrosion level of a steel code, affects little influence on adhesiveness between rubber after vulcanization and the steel code and in particular is environmentally acceptable. SOLUTION: The steel code is covered with a covering layer which has electrode potential larger than that of steel or shows steel corrosion ratio lower than that of steel and then is treated with the corrosion preventing composition. The composition contains active components including a co-anticorrosive selected from a group composed of A) a carrier of oil or wax type, B) at least B1) an anticorrosive of an azole type, B2) a) an aromatic acid and naphthenic acid of free acid form or salt form with alkali, alkaline earth, ammonium and/or amine [except sodium benzoate, however], b) an imidazoline derivative having C6-24 alkyl part and c) C6-24 alkyl succinic acid and C6-24 alkenyl succinic acid [including anhydride thereof] and a mixture of compounds defined under a), b) and c).</p> |
